Run a community ethernet cable (Cat five or Cat six) in the DVR to the internet router. if you want a brief run of cable then a traditional Pc ethernet cable will suffice, but for longer runs you need to purchase the cable and RJ45 connectors more info and crimp both equally ends of cable and insert connecters. you should see the link diagram below
